TESLAS OPINION

Car Manufacturer Tesla has a clear opinion:

“Our aspiration with the Model S was to show that an electric car truly can be better than any gasoline car, which is a critical step towards the widespread adoption of sustainable transport”

– Co founder and CEO Elon Musk, November 2012

REVA- A compact success

Today, let’s focus on REVA. What is Reva and what does it stand for ?

Mahindra Reva is a india-based company who has early enough seen and understood the potential of electric mobility on our planet.

Using a simple and unsophisticated strategy, REVA has become a meaningful alternative to fuel operated transport and has made itself popular in the UK and the United States. The legend of the brand is the REVA-i or G-Wiz.  Its costumers now exceed the 1,000 Mark in Europe !

Measuring only 2.6 Metres but with a range of 120 Km in its newer version operated with Li-Ion Batteries, it is effortless to park and drive. It comes with a automatic gear and alternative packages.  In cities like London there are numerous Revas driven by people of different ages. University students enjoy its dynamic handling, but also elderly people benefit from the high and comfortable seating position and the excellent around – visibility. A affordable vehicle for everyone.

Unfortunately the REVA has never made it to Vienna, even though its facts, range and the long experience of the indian company overtake by far the here sold Mitsubishis.

Why electric mobility is the future

Electricity is one of the main sources on our planet. It hardly has emissions which are harmful to human health, is renewable and in most cases also biodegradable. Cars are crucial in day to day transport in a largely populated city or country like Vienna in Austria.

Research shows that only a handful of car brands put their central focus on to what is so important to the future of human society. Hybrid (the combination of small electric engines and a large petrol engine) has more and more become the figurehead of manufacturers such as Toyota, Lexus, Audi, BMW etc. Hybrid however does not meet the two key expectations of global environment organizations and maybe even the consumer of the next generation.
What are the expectations ?

1. Noise and health Emissions at zero or as minimal as possible

2. Low running costs and renewable materials

Therefore it is time to make a CHANGE for the better, to be educated about the sources available to us and that make our Country a more clean and more pleasant place to live in.
